Silence reigned as the sun shone through those lobby windows, casting rays of light across the way, a lone pair of footsteps trod down the hall. A jingle of keys and a creak of the door, and the quiet lobby became the center of activity as folks walked in and greeted each other in eager tones. Soon, the lobby filled, and when the lobby was full, that meant the pews in the sanctuary were full – the moment the sanctuary was full a man wearing a dark suit with a burgundy tie walked across the stage. The chatter in the room silenced when he reached the microphone. Looking out over the crowd he said, “Welcome to the Mark Trammell Quartet Homecoming.”
With that, the weekend begins! The hills of Gadsden, Alabama will be home to this year’s Mark Trammell Quartet Homecoming…two days of uplifting music, encouraging speaking and Christian fellowship. Mark your calendar for July 30+31, 2021 for two fantastic evenings that will feature your host, the Mark Trammell Quartet. Joining them on Friday night will be their friends the Primitive Quartet and on Saturday night their friends Greater Vision will take the stage.
Friday, July 24th, the Mark Trammell Quartet welcomes their friends, the Primitive Quartet. The Primitive Quartet began in 1973, when two sets of brothers, Reagan and Larry Riddle and Furman and Norman Wilson, carried a guitar and mandolin with them on a fishing trip to Fontana Lake. They have recorded several albums and have toured throughout the United States and abroad. The group was the subject of a BBC documentary in 1984, and Singing News has listed them among the top five nominees for its readers’ Band of the Year award for several years consecutively. Help us welcome them as we sing the music you love on Friday night.
A love offering will be received.

Saturday, July 25th, the Mark Trammell Quartet will welcome their good friends, Greater Vision!
