A Mexican Adventure

Hola! Are you ready to take a Mexican adventure with MTQ? Then mark your calendars for January 21 - 26, 2019! From Tampa, Florida we'll sail away on Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas for Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico. In these ports of call, you'll have the opportunity to tour Mayan Ruins dating back to 1250 A.D., relax on white sandy beaches or sample locally grown pinnapple, fresh from the tree. Cozumel is one of our favorite ports. Separated from the mainland by the Cozumel Channel, you have the option to explore the island or take an excursion to the mainland. In recent years, we've seen more and more excursions take people by ferry to the Yucatan Penisula and enjoy sites like Coba, Tulum and even Cancun. When we arrive in Costa Maya, you'll step into a port created just for cruise passengers, yet, with an authentic Mexican flare. The tourist area is built to resemble the ancient Mayan temples of old and offers a variety of activities such as water sports, historic tours, family friendly areas and of course, white sandy beaches. During our day at sea, there are multiple activities to enjoy! Early rises will enjoy concerts beginning at 8:00 am, followed by Bible Studies and music all day long. For those wishing to relax, head to one of the decks and stretch out on a lounge chair or enjoy the soothing waters of a whirlpool. And whenever you need that steaming cup of coffee, follow the map to Café Latte’ – tudes, the ships specialty coffee house!

Costa Maya was built to resemble the ancient heritage of the Mayan's, yet, give cruisers a modern vacation experience. That means there's something for everyone! Want a day on the beach? Head over to Yaya or Maya Chan. Interested in Costa Maya's people and history? Take a guided tour to the Chacchoben Ruins. More adventurous folks can look into the waters sports, or, if the kids are with you, there are family friendly activities for all ages!

Step on shore to Mexico’s largest island, Cozumel! History cloaks the island in an array of Mayan Ruins and historical sites. Take a tour of Discover Mexico Cozumel Park; a walk through park displaying Mexico’s history and model buildings or visit the Mayan Cacao Company, where you can learn how the Mayan’s made chocolate. Then again, Cozumel offers plenty of beaches, snorkeling and opportunities to see some of the world’s greatest reefs.

On our sail back to Tampa, we encourage you to enjoy all the cruise has to offer. Concerts, Bible Studies, Christian Comedy, fine dining, the spa, whirlpool, or just soaking up the sun on deck! No matter how you choose to spend your time, we know you'll enjoy the fellowship and atmosphere of a full charter Christian cruise.
