Eighteen Years Ago This Week…
Eighteen years ago this week, I told the world that God had challenged me to leave the security of working in other ministries and to follow Him. Has every day been easy? No. Have there been times of reward and confirmation? Yes! Have there been times I wanted to quit? Yes.
For the last seven weeks I have been re-living those beginning days. Days full of peace in our calling and uncertainty in our world.
Watching God work thru His people to provide literally everything we had to have in order to begin this work. Were there nights I went to bed wondering how the next day would unfold? Absolutely. BUT, the day I announced we would begin this ministry, God implanted in my heart this one verse of scripture. It is also the thing that has helped me thru these very trying days. “But MY God shall supply ALL your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19.
Eighteen years later, He is still doing exactly that. So today I just want to pause to say “thank you” to those who have loved us, supported us, and literally held our hands up to do the work God called us to! I pray that things don’t “get back to normal” but instead, we come out of this pause in history, determined to serve God like never before! The photo of our first mode of transportation always reminds me that with God, ALL things are possible! Be encouraged today! God is still in control!
