Dig Deep For God’s Promises…
Dear Friends, during this time of quarantine, it can be easy to get discouraged, lonely or fearful by the events going on in our world. We want to encourage you to use this time to walk closer to the Lord and believe in His promises found in the Word.
When we released our current radio single, “Go Ask Moses,” to radio, we had no idea the COVID-19 outbreak was ahead. In the song, the lyrics talk about facing trials and finding strength to get through them. One of the ways we can find hope is to look back on how God has been faithful in the past – oh, if we could only go back and talk to some of the saints of old, maybe they could shed some light on how to have greater faith! Well, in some ways, we can…
When we read the first chapters in Exodus, we see that Moses lived through plagues. Things that only God can control. In that Old Testament account, there are numerous encouraging verses that can build our faith in what we’re facing today.
Starting today, let’s dig a little deeper in God’s Word and trust in His promises when we’re afraid or worried about the future. Are you ready to get started?
Step 1: Choose a passage from God’s Word.
Example text: Exodus Chapter 1-Chapter 14. (Break up the reading over a week or few days.)
Step 2: Read and highlight verses where God provided for His people during a time of crisis, plague or bondage.
Example: Exodus 13:21 reminds us that the Lord is with us day and night!
“And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night.”
Step 3: Meditate on God’s deliverance and/or journal your response to what you find in Scripture.
When we keep our eyes on the Lord, we will have greater peace and stability in times of need. Please feel free to share your favorite promises from Scripture with us in the comments and encourage one another as we walk through this time of quiet and stillness.

March 23, 2020 6:45 pmMark, Thank you for your encouragement. You & the MTQ are a light in a dark world. One of the scriptures that I have been meditating over the last few days is Psalm 91, “the Lord is my refuge & fortress, In Him will I trust“. That’s all we can do. Put ourselves in the palm of His hand & trust Him. He will take care of the things around us. God bless you!

March 25, 2020 8:01 pmHello MTQ, just finished reading your devotional about Moses. God is faithful , and he will deliver his children thru these trials on this old earth.
I keep looking up waiting for our Lord to break open the sky and call his bride home. In the mean time we will keep you all in our prayers.
